Our personal tax services
Income tax returns (ITR12)
We prepare and submit your annual tax return, check your auto-assessment before you accept it, and make sure every deduction you qualify for is claimed. If something doesn’t look right, we correct it before SARS does.
SARS e-Filing registration
We register you on SARS eFiling and set up your profile correctly, so you can file, track your refund and receive SARS correspondence online.
SARS appointments
We book and prepare for SARS appointments on your behalf, so you arrive with the right documents and the matter is resolved the first time.
Application for a tax number
New to SARS? We register you for an income tax number quickly and correctly, so you’re ready to file your first return.
SARS audit and verification support
Received a letter from SARS asking for supporting documents? We respond on your behalf, submit the right documents in the right format and deal with SARS until the matter is closed.
Provisional tax (IRP6)
If you earn income that isn’t taxed through PAYE, such as freelance work, rental income or commission, you may be a provisional taxpayer. We calculate and submit your August and February payments so you avoid penalties and interest.
SARS objections and appeals
If you disagree with your assessment, you have the right to object. We prepare and lodge the objection, gather your supporting evidence and follow it through, including an appeal if needed.
Financial emigration and expat tax
Living or working abroad? We help with ceasing South African tax residency, the foreign employment income exemption of up to R1.25 million, and double taxation agreements.
Tax advisory and planning
Planning ahead saves money. We advise on retirement annuity contributions, the timing of income and other legitimate ways to reduce the tax you pay.
Tax clearance and letters of good standing
Need a tax compliance status PIN for a tender, visa, emigration or loan? We check your SARS profile, sort out any outstanding issues and get your tax clearance or letter of good standing.
Fixed tax directive application
Commission earners can apply for a fixed tax directive so the right amount of tax is deducted each month. We also handle directives on lump sums and retirement fund withdrawals.
Updating your SARS details
We update your registered details on SARS, including your address, contact details and banking information, so refunds and correspondence reach you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a tax practitioner, or can I file myself?
You can file yourself on SARS eFiling. A tax practitioner is worth it if you earn commission, have more than one income, rental or foreign income, want to claim expenses, or have had a problem with SARS. We make sure nothing is missed and deal with SARS for you.
What documents do I need for my tax return?
Usually your IRP5 or IT3(a) from your employer, IT3(b) and IT3(c) certificates for interest and investments, your medical aid and retirement annuity certificates, and records of any expenses you want to claim, such as a travel logbook. We’ll send you a checklist.
I missed the deadline. What happens now?
You can still file. SARS may charge administrative penalties for an outstanding return, and they can grow the longer it stays outstanding, so it’s best to file as soon as possible. We can help you catch up.
Can you deal with SARS on my behalf?
Yes. As registered tax practitioners we can submit returns, respond to verification requests, lodge objections and handle SARS correspondence for you.
How do I get my SARS refund faster?
File early, make sure your banking details are verified with SARS, and respond quickly if SARS asks for supporting documents. Most delays come from verification requests or incorrect information, which we help you avoid.
Can I claim a home office deduction?
Possibly. SARS has strict rules: the space must be used regularly and exclusively for work, and most of your duties must be performed there. Commission earners have more scope to claim. We’ll check whether you qualify.
Do I need to declare crypto on my tax return?
Yes. SARS treats crypto as a financial asset, so gains must be declared as income or capital gains, depending on how you trade. We help you work out which applies and declare it correctly.
Am I a provisional taxpayer?
Yes — SARS treats cryptocurrency gains as taxable income or capital gains depending on how you’re trading, and has an active compliance unit focused on crypto. We help you work out which treatment applies and file it correctly.
